Architectural Project Manager

Location: Longwood, FL (100% On-Site)

AB Design Group is a well-established architectural firm specializing in residential builder-series production homes, including single-family homes, townhomes, and condos. The studio also completes select light commercial projects and supports some of the area's leading home builders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to be the primary point of contact for one of our largest residential builder clients. This role is fully in-office and is best suited for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who excels in managing projects, teams, and client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of development for single-family and/or multi-family residential housing projects

  • Develop and oversee quality Construction Documents, including both architectural and structural components

  • Work collaboratively with outside consultants and trades (Structural Engineer, Truss Company, MEP, etc.)

  • Supervise and manage a drafting team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and accurate redlines

  • Serve as the main client contact, providing regular project updates, responding to inquiries, and participating in scheduled meetings (in-person, virtual, or by phone)

  • Coordinate and conduct field visits with clients as needed

  • Address and resolve field issues or required repairs during construction

  • Respond to Building Department Comments and facilitate permitting processes

  • Ensure timely project delivery and meet client deadlines in a high-paced work environment


Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of architectural firm experience, with a strong background in residential construction

  • Experience managing employees and/or clients—preferably builder clients

  • Light commercial experience is a plus, but not required

  • Proficient in all stages of Construction Document creation and review

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, or a related field (preferred, not required)

  • Knowledge of current Florida Building Code and related standards (Accessibility Code, NEC, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to respond to client emails clearly, promptly, and professionally

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
