oUR PROCESS
Our process is built around two key phases.
We start by offering an initial meeting at our office, by phone, or via video conference at no cost. The first conversation gives us the opportunity to learn about your goals, vision, and expectations for the project.
Conceptual Design Phase
Here is where the vision of your project begins to take shape. During this stage, we will translate your goals, site conditions, and requirements into preliminary ideas that set the tone for your project.
Through sketches, diagrams, and early models, different design approaches will be explored. This phase lays the foundation for all subsequent design work, ensuring that creativity, practicality, and your aspirations are aligned from the very beginning.

Design Concept drawings
Construction Documents Phase
Upon approval of your custom design, the project is handed off to our Production Department, that specializes in taking your design to a buildable set of Construction Documents. This phase involves:

Further developing the Floor Plan and Elevations with detailed dimensions, callouts, and any applicable details to aid the Builder during construction.

Coordinating with the client's preferred truss company and working with them to answer any questions or provide clarifications with the design intent.

Working with a Structural Engineer to have fully engineered plans that can be priced for bidding purpose and eventually be submitted for permit by the Builder or client.

Plans are thoroughly reviewed for consistency, cost-effective engineering, and building practices.
AB Design Group's involvement does not stop here. Once the plans are submitted to permitting, we are here to assist the Builder at every phase, whether that is responding to Building Department comments, RFIs, field repairs, and related issues. AB Design Group is here to help you complete your project.
